Abstract
This study provides an overview of mobile data pricing in the European
enterprise market. This includes a view of the current and future status of
mobile operators' offerings of data services for business use. Forecast and
analysis is provided on the total usage and spending of mobile data in Western
Europe.
The information provided in this study is essential reading for mobile
operators, handset vendors, and any other player in the industry that is
interested in the Western European mobile business data services market. The
study will provide these companies with essential data and analysis on how
mobile business data pricing has developed in Europe in the last 12 months,
giving examples of the offerings providers have put in place to attract the
mobile user.
"Although mobile operators have been trying to approach the business market
with competitive pricing structures, balancing cheaper data services with the
need to increase their data ARPU has proved that pricing of data services is
not a very easy thing to do," said Rosie Secchi, research manager at IDC' s
