Abstract
This IDC study provides market forecasts as of July 2008 for the storage
software market for 2008 to 2012. Forecasts are provided for the total market
by functional market and by Western European country.
"The Western European storage software market has performed very well in 2007
in dollar terms, but the forecast has been adjusted downwards slightly due to
the cautious economic outlook for Western Europe," said Carla Arend, program
manager, European Storage Software and Services. "Market growth is driven by
business continuity and disaster recovery concerns of Western European
organizations, as well as increasing efforts to develop sound data protection
and efficient management strategies for virtualized server environments."
