IDC believes that the Western European business VoIP market is showing healthy
growth, although its adoption falls behind its counterpart in the residential
space.
"VolP is perceived as an integrated application in enterprises' convergence
roadmap, and this is the main driver for adoption. VoIP is an enabler of
unified communications, and MPLS is the platform on which all the future
services will be delivered ", said Angela Salmeron, research manager for IDC' s
European Telecommunications service.
