This IDC study presents a forecast of the worldwide telecom market based on
IDC' s current forecasts. IDC' s telecommunications equipment service has been
tracking and quantifying the various product segments that make up the telecom
equipment landscape.
Key questions answered include:
- What is the telecom equipment revenue opportunity through 2012?
- Which segments will grow the fastest, and which segments will continue to struggle?
- Which geographic regions will grow the fastest?

and next-generation access technologies are the critical infrastructure
segments needed to meet demands for video distribution as well as growing
