Abstract
This study discusses the market for hardcopy peripherals - single function and
multifunctional. It does not cover point-of-sale printers or small-format
printers featuring widths of less than eight inches. It also does not cover
wide format (A0) products, sometimes known as plotters. The forecasts contain
data for the Kazakhstan peripherals market from 2008 through 2011. Unit
shipments, value of shipments, and average street price (ASP) information is
presented. Data for 2004-2007 is actual, whereas data for 2008-2012 is
projected.
"Although the MFP inkjet segment demonstrated the highest growth rate in
Kazakhstan last year, laser peripherals still account for the bulk of total
shipments and remain dominant on the HCP market. The ongoing economic slowdown
in Kazakhstan should not impact notably on the preference of local end users
for laser technology, although this may hinder market growth in 2008. The still
highly non-saturated Kazakhstani HCP market, together with the exceedingly
likely recovery of the economy in 2009, should ensure the resumption of stable
market growth throughout the remaining years of the forecast period." - Andrey
