Abstract
This IDC study examines the trends and results of a recent small and
medium-sized business (SMB) end-user survey, specifically on the financial
services, manufacturing, distribution, and infrastructure industries. It also
highlights the opportunity areas and challenges, user requirements, and key
concerns in the major verticals.
"It is critical that on-demand vendors should understand the respective
industry' s requirements in software adoptions. Once the needs are understood,
then the vendors can position their products and services for the specific
verticals," says Alan Tong, senior research manager, Asia/Pacific Enterprise
