Abstract
This IDC study assesses Sweden' s BPO market in 2007 and presents IDC' s market
forecast from 2008-2012. In addition, this study identifies the market
opportunities via five key business functions (procurement, F&A, customer care,
industry specific, and HR) in Sweden. An overview of the competitive landscape
is also provided, as well as recommended strategies for service providers.
2007 was a strong year for the Swedish BPO market, which reached SEK6.4
billion, a 13% increase over the previous year.
"Unlike other parts of the world, or Europe for that matter, cost is not
necessarily the main driver for BPO initiatives. Instead, a lack of resources
is the key factor driving growth in the Swedish BPO market," said Staffan
Söderman, research analyst at IDC Sweden.
