Abstract
Digital camera and camera phone users usually prefer photos to be displayed
and shared without the need to have prints made, thereby creating demand for
digital photo frames. In the last couple of years, many companies have been
working to satisfy this demand by expanding into the design, manufacturing,
and sale of digital photo frames, with Philips, Samsung, and Epson leading the
way. Once vendors break the current challenges in design and technology, sales
of digital photo frames will start to take off. This report will discuss the
growth potential of the digital photo frame market over the next few years,
the specifications of LCD panels used in digital photo frames, and the overall
impact on the LCD panel industry.
