Abstract
Wireless broadband terminal products are no longer communications devices used
for voice communication only. Consumers are showing increasing demand for a
variety of functions. Camera, camcorder and MP3 player functions have become
mainstream in Korea. Products are developing towards computing, imaging,
multimedia, music and gaming.
Recently, as Korea has started commercial DMB, WiBro and HSDPA services,
Korea' s wireless broadband terminal products have become more diversified.
This report will analyze the Korean government' s plans for the establishment
of a Mobile Special District, and Korea' s wireless broadband terminal product
market.
