The Taiwanese CDT Monitor Industry, 1Q 2008

Abstract

In full-year 2007 the overall Taiwanese monitor shipment volume reached 123 million units, of which only 7.4 million units, or approximately 6%, are CDT (Color Display Tube) monitors. In the second half of the year, with the replacement of CDT monitors by value-line LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) monitors quickening pace, Taiwanese CDT monitor shipment volume arrived at about 3.6 million units, while shipment share continued declining to roughly 5%.
