Abstract
The worldwide motherboard industry has experienced dramatic changes due to
rapid growth in the emerging markets, desktop replacement effect, polarized
trends of product designs. Meanwhile, Taiwanese motherboard makers not only
have to cope with these phenomena but also face aggressive competition from
their Chinese counterparts. Moreover, the hiking share of production in Brazil
diversifies the development of the worldwide motherboard industry. This report
will examine major developments in the worldwide and Taiwanese motherboard
industry in 2007 and provide an industry forecast for 2008.
