The first quarter of the year traditionally sees off-season demand for consumer electronics, and various small- and medium-sized TFT-LCD (Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display) panel application products, such as mobile phones and portable navigation devices, experienced lackluster market demand in the first quarter of 2008. Nevertheless, compared with the same quarter in 2007 when small- and medium-sized panels were in short supply, shipment volume in the first quarter of 2008 represents a sequential decline of 16.0%
