Abstract
China Mobile is a leading mobile operator in China and has the world' s largest
subscriber base, reaching 369 million as of the end of December 2007. This
report examines China Mobile' s business strategies in 2008 including mobile
services, regional expansion, and network upgrading. The report finds that,
after industry restructuring, China Mobile is expected to continue its efforts
to boost 3G penetration rates in metropolitan areas, while continuing to
increase 2G subscriber numbers in rural China.
