The launch of Asus' Eee PC in October 2007 marked the emergence of a new price
segment and new product specifications significantly different from
traditional notebook PCs. The new wave of interest in low-price mini notebook
PCs has led the world' s three leading PC vendors to adjust their product
strategies and begun to develop mini notebook PC products of their own. This
report examines low-price mini notebook PC product trends and strategies
adopted by different vendors. The report also examines future technology
trends which will play an important role in low-price mini notebook PC
development.
