The Taiwanese Desktop PC Industry, 3Q 2008

This research report presents shipment volume forecast and recent quarter review of the Taiwanese desktop PC industry. The report includes desktop PC shipment value, ASP, shipment share by maker, and product mix analysis. The content of this report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with desktop PC makers. The report finds that the Taiwanese desktop PC shipment volume continued to be affected by accelerated DTR effect and the global economic situation in the second quarter of 2008 and that the industry' s shipment for the emerging markets also slowed down. Shipment volume growth rates of the industry are expected to increase until the fourth quarter of 2008.
