• The report is devoted to analysis of market of ferrosilicon in the CIS. The report increases the following key information: characteristics of mineral-resources base of quartzite in the CIS; technologies of production of ferrosilicon; production of ferrosilicon in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan; analysis of foreign trade operations, analysis tendencies of consumption of ferrosilicon; forecast of production and consumption of ferrosilicon.
• In the course of the investigation implementation, information from many sources was analysed, first of all, official data of state bodies: Federal Statistic Service of Russia (Rosstat) (production figures), JSC "RZhD" (Russian domestic railage statistics), Federal Customs Service of Russia (data on foreign trade operations), as well as Statistic Handbooks of Kazakhstan and Ukraine. Besides, data of enterprises (annual and quarterly reports), as well as own database of InfoMine, analytical materials and other mass media publications, were used.
• This all allowed to reveal objective picture of ferrosilicon market in the CIS, to evaluate prospects and to forecast development of the market up to 2010.
