Market Research of Drill Muds in Russia

Abstract

The report is devoted to review of market of the main drill mud components (mud powder, barite weighting materials, proppants, carboxymethyl cellulose and polyacrylamide) in Russia. As information sources, we used data of Federal Service of State Statistics of Russia (Rosstat), Federal Customs Service of Russia, Russian domestic railage statistics (JSC RZhD data), State Balances of Reserves of Mineral Resources, reports of companies, data of regional mass-media and web-sites of producers and consumers of drill mud components, as well as own InfoMine database. The report contains 94 Pages, including 52 Tables, 22 Figures and Appendix.

The first Section of the report presents classifications of drill mud components, as well as data on features of the components and fields of their application.

The second Section is devoted to analysis of data on production of the main drill mud components in Russia, including data on volumes of production of the products for the period of 2000-9 months of 2007, description of current standing of company-producers of drill mud components, including data on resources base, characteristics of the manufactured products, volumes and flows of supplies.

The third Section of the report presents analysis of foreign trade of Russian enterprises in drill mud components, including data on volumes of supplies in bulk and in money terms, on the main exporters and importers of the products, estimates regional structure of supplies.

The fourth Section is devoted to estimation of domestic consumption of drill mud components in Russia. The Section presents supply-demand balance of the main drill mud components in 2003-2007, regional structure of the consumption, as well as data on volumes of supplies of the products to the greatest consumers by railway transport. Besides, description of the greatest Russian company-consumers of drill mud components is given.

The fifth Section of the report presents price analysis of, including data on current prices on the main components of drill muds of some Russian producers, as well as data on their changes in 2005-2007, dynamics of export-import prices on drill mud components, and forecast of price conjuncture of the market up to 2015
