Abstract
The report is devoted to studying of market of fiber-optic cable in Russia and
forecast of its development. The report consists of 5 Sections, 71 pages,
including 12 Tables, 18 Figures and 2 Appendices. The report is a desk study.
As information sources, data of Federal Service of State Statistics of Russia
(Rosstat), Federal Customs Service of Russia (FCS), scientific-research
materials, data of companies, the sector and regional press, annual and
quarterly repots of companies, web-sites of company-producers and consumers of
fiber-optic cable were used.
The first Section is devoted to description of the main characteristics,
technology of production and common purpose of fiber-optic cable. The Section
describes the main types of fiber-optic cable, classified by purpose and
methods of laying, describes briefly technology of obtaining optic fiber,
presents the main firms - suppliers of optic fiber to Russia. The Section also
describes the main stages of production of fiber-optic cable at Russian plants.
The second Section describes production of fiber-optic cables in Russia and
CIS: current standing of the main plant - manufacturers of fiber-optic cable,
nomenclature and volumes of the production, analysis of dynamics of volumes
and rates of production of fiber-optic cable for the latest 5 years.
The third Section describes foreign trade operations in fiber-optic cable at
Russian and Ukrainian markets. The Section presents analysis of dynamics of
Russian and Ukrainian export-import supplies of fiber-optic cable for the
latest 5 years in money terms, describes in details directions of the
supplies, presents data on the main exporters and importers of fiber-optic
cable in Russia and Ukraine.
The fourth Section analysis structure of usage of fiber-optic cable in Russia
and CIS, describes large Russian consumers of fiber-optic cables, estimates
segmentation of the market, supply-demand balance of fiber-optic cables, as
well as briefly describes current price situation at Russian market of
fiber-optic cable.
The fifth Section is devoted to estimation of tendencies and prospects of
Russian market of fiber-optic cable. The Section presents forecasts of leading
specialists of cable industry on the sector development.
The Appendices present contact information of the greatest producers of
fiber-optic cable in Russia and CIS, as well as list of references.
