Abstract
The research is devoted to analysis of market of cable flexible PVC in Russia
and other CIS countries.
The report includes the following key sections: technology of production and
the main kinds of resources, requirements imposed on quality of products; the
main producers of cable flexible PVC; analysis of foreign trade operations,
prices and the greatest consumers of flexible PVC.
Methodologically, the work was implemented in 2 stages - "desk" studies and
"field" activity. At the first stage, we analysed many information sources,
first of all, data of state bodies - Federal Service of State Statistics of
Russia (FSSS), JSC "RZHD" (statistics of railage), Federal Customs Service of
Russia (data on foreign trade operations). Besides, we used data of companies,
own database of "InfoMine", materials of mass-media and internet.
At the second stage, the summarized and analyzed data were refined by the way
of telephone interviews with specialists of companies, involved in the market
and discussed in the report. Special attention was paid to interviews with
representatives of companies, which do not submit their official production
statistics to FSSS of Russia.
This all allowed the authors to draw actual picture of cable flexible PVC
market in the CIS and prospects of its development.
