Abstract
The report is devoted to review of market of railway electric-driven transport
facilities for mining industry (electric locomotives and traction units) in
CIS countries. The report has been prepared on the basis of studying and
analysis of data of Federal Service of State Statistics of Russia (FSSS),
Federal Customs Service of Russia (FCS), State Statistic Committee of Ukraine,
State Customs Committee of Ukraine, Statistic Agency of Kazakhstan, reports of
companies, data of regional and sectoral mass-media, web-sites of producers
and consumers of railway electric-driven transport facilities, as well as data
of «InfoMine». The report contains 79 pages, including 41 Tables,
20 Figures and 1 Appendix.
The first Chapter of the report offers classification and characteristics of
electric locomotives and traction units, produced by CIS enterprises.
The second Chapter of the report is devoted to analysis of production
statistics for the period from 2000 to 2007. The Chapter presents data on
production of electric locomotives and traction units in Russia, Ukraine and
Kazakhstan, considers current standing of the main producers of electric
locomotives and traction units.
The third Chapter of the report is devoted to analysis of foreign trade
operation of Russia and Ukraine in electric locomotives and traction units in
2000-2007.
The fourth Chapter of the report considers consumption of electric locomotives
and traction units in Russia, Ukraine, as well as in Kazakhstan.
The Chapter, in addition, gives review of standing of the main end-uses of
electric locomotives and traction units - iron ore mining and coal industry.
It presents data on ore mass hauling by railway quarry transport facilities of
companies of iron ore industry.
The final, fifth Chapter of the report presents forecast of development of the
main end-uses of electric-driven transport facilities for mining industry -
iron ore and coal sectors, as well as presents forecast of changing fleet of
electric locomotives and traction units in Russia up to 2010.
The Appendix presents addresses and contact information on company-producers
of electric locomotives for mining industry.
