Abstract
“Total European production of machinery reached an all time high of more
than €293 billion in 2005, and is forecast to continue to grow at an
average rate of 3.0% until the year 2010.”
This is one of the many findings from a new report published by IMS Research,
Machinery Production Yearbook - Europe - 2007. This report presents the
production values for twelve different types of industrial machinery in Europe
and examines the automation content found inside these types of machines. The
report is being published at a time when industrial machinery is in high
demand, primarily from emerging markets in China, India and South America.
This is the second edition of this study, and is designed to complement IMS
Research' s previous studies on machinery production in Europe and Asia. The
purpose of this report is to provide machine builders and automation content
providers with detailed statistics illustrating market performance from 2002
to 2005, and includes forecasts until 2010. The report is highly numerical
with over 50 tables that segment the industry by machine type and country of
production.
