Abstract
This report provides a detailed investigation of the industrial PC markets of
EMEA, Americas and Asia Pacific. Reported data for 2006 was used for the base
year, with forecasts provided through to 2011. Market segmentations include
by product type, geographic region, industry sector, machine builder sector,
end-user sector and primary application.
The world market for IPCs was estimated at almost $1.5 billion in 2006, with
this set to increase to over $2 billion by 2011. In terms of unit shipments,
the total world IPCs market is expected to reach nearly 1.5 million by 2011.
One finding from the report found that "the world market for IPCs is
increasingly being influenced by the rapidly developing Asia Pacific market.
This region is currently experiencing the highest growth levels within the
world IPCs market, and the potential exists for this to continue for the
foreseeable future. This high growth is attracting manufacturers of IPCs who
have typically only been active in the more developed EMEA and Americas IPC
markets. At the same time, Asia Pacific-based IPC manufacturers are targeting
these more developed markets with lower functionality products which are
priced extremely competitively."
The report provides a wealth of industry data and discussion for both IPC and
component manufacturers (displays, processors, boards, data storage) alike.
