Abstract

This Manufacturing Insights Perspective discusses the benefits of applying the principles of modularity and interoperability to a number of business and engineering challenges, including the challenges faced by high-level managers and executives who find themselves spending too much time on activities that should be carried out by employees lower in the organization.
