Abstract
This Manufacturing Insights report presents our annual top 10 predictions for
the automotive, aerospace and defense, and other discrete manufacturing
sectors. "As manufacturers go into 2007, they are riding a wave of a strong
economy, productivity growth, and high expectations from Wall Street," says Joe
Barkai, program director, Product Life-Cycle Strategies, Manufacturing
Insights. He adds, "But at the same time, there is a certain level of
uncertainty and trepidation. In 2007, manufacturers will look to their CIOs to
reach higher performance levels in decision-making capabilities and business
process agility."
