Abstract
This study provides an overview of the automotive industry in Central Europe as
well as details of the structure of the automotive markets in the Czech
Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia. The study includes the results of an
Insight survey of automotive companies in Central Europe, which explores the
allocation of automotive companies' budgets as well as companies' current and
planned future IT initiatives and investments. The study also quantifies
anticipated IT spending in the automotive sector in Central Europe over the
2007-2011 forecast period.
"The level of complexity in manufacturing and supply chain operations within
the CE automotive industry means vendors must have a considerable level of
vertical insight into the automotive value chain. Although automotive
production in the CE region is on a level playing field with the rest of the
world, unlike in Western Europe and the U.S., vendor solutions and services in
the CE region are still horizontally driven." - Arun Chandramohan, Senior
