Abstract
Though only 2 stem cell products were available in 2007, new stem cell therapy
products will begin to enter the market as early as 2009. In the best case
scenario, over 30 vendors will enter the stem cell therapy market by 2012, and
by 2017, almost 90 vendors will be active in the market.
The US stem cell therapies market includes the use of stem cells to treat
orthopedic degenerative disease, cardiovascular disease, diabetes,
neurological disease, cancer, retinal disease, aesthetic conditions, and other
chronic and autoimmune disorders.
