Abstract
In 2007 the value of pre-recorded DVDs (retail and rental) in the UK is thought to be worth an estimated £2,385 million. However, the market has been experiencing a decline since 2005.
The report will look at the impact of the newer generation of DVD, assess the future of the rental side of the business, and also shed insight on detrimental effect piracy is having on the overall industry.
With newer technology becoming more established in the market, such as VoD and PVRs, the analysis questions whether seismic changes are required in the future.
