Abstract
NanoMarkets continues its coverage of silver-based conductors used in
printable electronics in this new report. In 2007, we published the first
in-depth analysis of the market for printed electronic silvers. In this report
we update and extend the silver story.
Our market analysis begins by outlining the changes that have occurred since
NanoMarkets' previous report. We discuss how the rapid commercialization of
printed electronics over the past year is changing the demand for silver. Do
nanosilvers still have the exciting future that was forecast for them a year
ago? And how are silver inks and pastes being used in the first printed
electronics fabs?
Since our last report, the available choices for conductors have also
expanded. New organic and hybrid materials are being seen by some in the
industry as the future. How will this impact the demand for silver in printed
electronics? And will silver actually have a role to play in emerging hybrid
products.
In this new report we examine both business issues and the technical evolution
of silver inks in terms of conductivity, thermal requirements, environmental
stability, formulation trends, etc. This new report also provides enhanced
coverage of the products currently being offered by major firms as well as
revised eight-year forecast of revenues and volume consumption of silver for
printed electronics applications.
