Abstract
This evaluation looks at BMC and how it is targeting the application problem
resolution (APR) market with its AppSight APR System. Our model looks at the
features that APR tools should offer and how they will integrate with the
application lifecycle model (ALM) within the developer team. With over 80% of
current time spent in root cause analysis and only 20% in actually fixing the
problem, there is a need for information gathered to be analysed to reduce the
incidence of problems and improve the quality of software, from design to
development and through to production.
