Abstract
Veterinary antibacterials--antiseptics that only act against
bacteria--comprise some of the most important pharmaceutical products on the
animal health market. Yet despite a difficult regulatory environment--driven
by concerns over the development of antibacterial resistance in consumers of
livestock products--new products are still being launched. This has resulted
in significant changes in the animal health products market.
This study offers a detailed examination of the shape of the animal health
products market globally over the next several years specific to
antibacterials, analyzing both the livestock and companion animal markets.
