Abstract
VDC has studied the retail automation market since 1983, providing
unparalleled market analysis and exploration of user plans. Areas of coverage
include hand held and stationary POS scanners, price verifiers, POS
terminals/workstations EAS, self-checkout, payment transaction terminals, ESL,
etc. Our prolonged and highly concentrated focus on the analysis of retail
automation/POS equipment markets has yielded numerous prior studies on closely
related topics. Available research includes the North American and European
Retail Automation Equipment Vertical Market Analysis (2004, 2002 - US only) as
well as POS Application Software (2004).
